Ethical Investment Funds

Green or ethical investment funds are a basket of assets where the fund manager’s choice of investment is influenced by one or more social, environmental or governance (ESG) criteria.

Typically, the fund manager uses ethical screening techniques to include or exclude investments in certain companies depending on their ethical standing. In addition, many ethical fund managers actively engage with company management, both directly and through shareholder activism practices, in order to encourage those companies to increase their levels of corporate social responsibility.

At Churchill Ethical Investment our Independent Financial Advisors are experts in creating diversified portfolios made up of ethical funds which correspond with your personal ethical values.

Over the last 20 years there has been a dramatic increase in the universe of ethical funds available to financial advisors within the UK and the list of green and ethical funds available continues to grow.

At Churchill Ethical Investment you can invest in ethical funds through an investment portfolio designed around your specific ethical values.

For example, ‘no sin stock’ portfolios are portfolios constructed to provide the maximum financial return for a given risk profile without investing in any companies which generate the majority of their income from the sin sectors (alcohol, tobacco, pornography, gambling and armaments).

We also construct portfolios specifically for faith based investors as well as investors who wish to focus on supporting companies which have a positive impact on society (often called socially responsible investors).
